Regional Analysis and Trends

Weekly Seismic Overview

During this seven-day window, our instruments recorded a total of 4,678 seismic events globally.

The vast majority of these tremors were minor and presented no threat to coastal or inland populations.

Significant Lithospheric Activity

Our analysis confirmed 40 earthquakes reaching a magnitude of 5.0 or higher.

These moderate-to-strong events are currently undergoing detailed slip-model analysis.

Peak Tectonic Event

The strongest event of the week occurred in the Southern East Pacific Rise, registering a magnitude of 6.6.

This deep-ocean rupture released substantial energy but triggered no tsunami warnings.
